OVERVIEW
The Way I See You brings together a small series of portraits shaped by closeness, attention, and memory. The images are less about perfect likeness and more about what it feels like to really see someone. You experience the quiet details, the softness, the mood, the things that become impossible to miss once you care. Some feelings do not arrive all at once. Sometimes they become clear simply by being in someone’s vicinity.
CURATOR’S NOTE
This presentation began with a simple question: how does one photograph a person one already knows deeply, without reducing that knowledge to certainty?
These portraits stay with what can be felt more than explained - mood, gesture, light, and the quiet details that begin to matter once someone has changed the way you see. They are shaped by closeness, familiarity, and the kind of attention that grows over time. Some feelings do not arrive all at once. Sometimes they become clear only in someone’s vicinity. There is something quietly karmic in that.
